Four Capable Engine Options

Whatever your desired use for your truck, there’s an engine for that. Standard on Pro, SLE, and Elevation trims is a 2.7L TurboMax four-cylinder that produces 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides a solid balance between efficiency and strength to handle all daily driving needs.

SLT and Denali trims use a 5.3L V8 that outputs 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Denali Ultimate gets a 6.2L V8 that increases power to 420 hp. Both of these engines are available across most of the lineup. The Sierra 1500 is the only pickup in is class to offer an available diesel engine. It takes the form of a 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6, with up to 495 lb-ft of torque. It’s standard on the AT4 and AT4X trims, but is available in most.

Unrivaled Towing and Trailering Tech

Thanks to the availability of a diesel engine, the Sierra 1500 can tow up to 13,300 pounds when equipped with the Max Trailering Package. This package includes an improved rear axle ratio, integrated trailer brake controller, Trailer Sway Control, and an increased Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR).

Available on all trims and standard on upper trims is the Trailering Camera System that offers up to 14 available camera views, including a transparent trailer view, hitch view, and a bed view. These camera views make parking and reversing with a big trailer in tow much easier.

Cargo Access Made Easy

The Sierra 1500 comes with a high-strength steel cargo bed with 12 standard tie-downs that can secure up to 500 pounds each. In all models except the base Pro trim, a 120V outlet is integrated into the bed walls. Denali Ultimate and AT4X have a CarbonPro composite bed that provides corrosion and rent resistance.

Also standard on these models (but available in all others) is the MultiPro Tailgate. This GMC-exclusive tailgate features six distinct functions, including a fold-down inner gate, full-width step, load stop, and work surface. Denali Ultimate and AT4X can be optioned with the Kicker audio system that comes built into the tailgate.

The GMC Sierra 1500’s diverse trim lineup offers truck buyers a large range of choice, but no matter what model you go for, you can be confident that it’s well-equipped to conquer any task. Get your truck journey started at AutoNation Buick GMC Laurel in Laurel, MD.
